Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebrations At the Manor House Country Hotel

We love it when our guests return to the Manor House after having had their wedding with us. We recently saw the return of Mr & Mrs Williams who fifty years ago on the 27th of October 1972, held their wedding reception with us.

Mrs Williams explained "We always looked back on that day as a day of great joy and excitement. We remember the beautiful setting of the hotel, the warm welcome of the staff and their attention to detail to ensure we had a wonderful day.

We had 55 guests and the bill which I still have came to £88. Hard to imagine today".

Mrs Williams continued "On Thursday 27th October 2022, fifty years later we returned with 28 guests to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary. We had the most wonderful evening. The food was exquisite, the rooms very beautiful and very comfortable.

There are no words adequate to describe the staff. From the ladies at the reception to the staff in the restaurant, they were all so friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to make our evening enjoyable.

And then there was Una who liaised with me in advance of the event and coordinated the whole thing with such enthusiasm and efficiency. Ivor and I would like to thank each and everyone for making the event so enjoyable. Manor House hasn’t lost its touch in fifty years.

We will be back".
